Diana
Razumny is a
Guild Certified
Feldenkrais Practitioner and Trainer and the educational
director of the Rocky Mountain 2 Training. She has studied and
practiced in a variety of body/mind modalities including Trager and
transpersonal breath Therapy. She began her studies of the
Feldenkrais
Method when she
met Dr. Feldenkrais in San Francisco in 1977. Diana has used the
method to work with people challenged by neurological difficulties,
especially children. She has been teaching advanced trainings in
the U. S. and Europe for Feldenkrais
practitioners focused on
working with special needs children. Her playfulness and love for
movement give a special quality to her touch and interactions with
people. Diana has extensive experience in various capacities in
training programs. She exhibits strong commitment to students in
the training process. Some of her passions have been sculpting,
dancing, tennis and Aikido. Diana will be the educational
continuity staff member and will be present for all four years of
the training program, while teaching as the main trainer 50% or 16
weeks of the training.
Efrem
Razumny, MS, ADTR,
is a Guild
Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and a Certified Dance/ Movement
Therapist. He earned his masters degree in Dance/Movement Therapy
at Hunter College of New York in 1985. He has a 45-year history of
working with people in the alternative health field. Efrem is also
experienced in working with special children and their families. He
is a certified massage practitioner trained at Esalen Institute and
has studied the Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement. Efrem is highly
sensitive and committed to serving people in their personal
evolution. His enthusiasm and encouragement support people in their
ability to choose an improved quality of life. His extended
experience of living in the Alaskan wilderness gives him a special
appreciation for life. Efrem is the Administrative Director of
Movement Educators and their Feldenkrais
training Programs. He will
be present for all four years of the training program.
Yvan
Joly is a registered
Psychologist, a Practitioner-Trainer and an Educational Director of
Feldenkrais Professional Training programs. In the last 20 years,
he has trained practitioners of the Feldenkrais Method® in 15
countries over four continents. He has applied his expertise in
movement and body awareness to issues in the domains of health,
sports, the Arts and education. Yvan Joly has received his Master
in Psychology in 1973, from L'Université de Montréal, with a
specialty in cognitive science. He is certified by the FELDENKRAIS
GUILD of North America as practitioner-teacher since 1983 and as
trainer since l995. Mr. Joly is one of the world leaders in the
establishment of the field of somatic education. He was a lecturer
at the Dance Department of L’Université du Québec à Montréal for 25
years. Yvan Joly has written many articles available in many
languages on his website www.yvanjoly.com. Yvan will be a visiting trainer and
teach 4 weeks in the training
Katrin
Smithback Guild
Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Trainer. She began her studies with
Moshe Feldenkrais in 1980 and has had a continuous private practice
in Santa Fe, NM since then. Katrin was on the faculty at the
College of Santa Fe for 17 years, teaching applied movement in the
theater, dance, music and physical education departments. Her
interest in practical applications of the Feldenkrais Method
has led her to develop and
teach workshops and classes for a wide variety of groups, including
athletes, actors, the disabled, therapists, the elderly, and the
general public. She also teaches advanced trainings for
practitioners and mentors local practitioners. Katrin teaches
in professional training programs in the US, Canada, Asia and
Europe. Katrin will be a visiting trainer and teach 4 weeks in the
training.
Alan
Questel,
Guild Certified
Feldenkrais Practitionercm and Trainer. He brings to this training
many years experience in practicing the Feldenkrais
Method® in a variety of settings including,
hospitals and universities. He has worked with people from all
walks of life and has taught applications of the
Feldenkrais
Method to such
audiences as actors, dancers, physical and occupational therapists,
teachers, and athletes. Alan is a graduate of the Amherst Training
Program (1983), which was the last practitioner training that Dr.
Feldenkrais taught. He became an assistant trainer in the late
1980's and earned his accreditation as a trainer in 1994. He has
taught in over 40 programs in the U.S., Australia and Europe. He
has presented seminars at various institutions across the US and
has developed a body of work for performers utilizing the
Feldenkrais
Method. His
great interests are the embodiment of creativity and the
connections that develops between us through the
Feldenkrais
Method. He sees
the Feldenkrais
Method as a
means for individual maturation, and aspires towards making this
appreciable and concrete for his students both in training programs
and in his practice. Alan is known for his clarity, creativity and
down to earth style of teaching. He brings a depth of
understanding, humor and a gentle human perspective to the learning
of the Method. He creates lively conditions for learning. Alan has
directed and co-directed programs around the world: Bronxville, New
York; Marin County and Sonoma County, California; Phoenix, Arizona;
Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth, Australia. He currently
directs the program in Malmo, Sweden. He makes his home in Santa
Fe, New Mexico. Alan will be a visiting trainer and teach 4 weeks

Elizabeth
Beringer, Guild
Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Trainer, has been involved with the
practice and development of the Feldenkrais Method
for over two decades and
integrates current advances in the cognitive sciences into
the Feldenkrais
perspective. Elizabeth
studied directly with Dr. Feldenkrais, in the U.S. and Israel, from
1976 to 1983. She has been the editor of the Feldenkrais
Journal for over 10 years
and has served the Feldenkrais
Guild in numerous
capacities. She is the cofounder of Feldenkrais
Resources with David
Zemach-Bersin and they have worked together for over 20 years.
Elizabeth is the Educational Director of Feldenkrais Method
Training Programs in Italy
and Switzerland, and teaches courses for physical and occupational
therapists. Elizabeth has maintained a private practice since 1981,
working with a varied population including those with severe
limitations, infants, seniors, musicians, and those in chronic
pain. She has worked extensively with athletes, martial artists and
dancers, and she currently holds the rank of 5th degree black belt
in the martial art of Aikido. Elizabeth lives with her husband,
cognitive scientist Rafael Nunez, and their daughter, in San Diego,
California. Elizabeth will be a visiting trainer and teach 2 weeks
in the training.
Dennis
Leri, Guild
Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Trainer, has worldwide experience
presenting the Feldenkrais Method
in training programs,
seminars and workshops. He apprenticed with Dr. Feldenkrais at the
Feldenkrais Institute in Tel-Aviv, Israel and has taught the Method
for nearly 30 years. His accessible and challenging teaching style
reflects training in Western and Eastern philosophy, psychology,
martial arts and poetics. He has published articles, translated
into several languages, on the Method. Dennis will be a visiting
